Zoya Pirzad is an Iranian-Armenian author, born on February 20, 1952, in Abadan, Iran. She is known for writing novels and short stories about the daily lives of Iranians, particularly women.
Pirzad started her career as a journalist, writing for Iranian newspapers and magazines. Her first book, "The Girl with a White Dog," was published in 1989 and was well-received by readers and critics alike.
Some of her other notable works include "Things We Left Unsaid," "I Still Write to You in Your Absence," and "Dear Allah." Many of her works have been translated into different languages.
Pirzad has been awarded several literary prizes for her works, including Iran's Book of the Year Awards. In addition to her writing, she has also been involved in promoting literacy and education in Iran.
